Q & A with DART / American Illustration
Paul Hoppe, an illustrator and comics artist, has been a friend of DART since his work first appeared in AI26. At the New York City comics fairs, he acts as a semaphore: a tall fellow, he is also one of a few participants who has figured out how to be visible in a crowded hall—often standing alongside his even taller Rabid Rabbit vertical banner. Next week, a 10-year survey of Paul’s work will be seen in an exhibition at the German Consulate in New York. […]

Many thanks to Editor-In-Chief Peggy Roalf for the kind words and the nice interview!

Interviews & Articles
I wrote a little article for the Cartoon & Comic issue of Slanted,a German magazine about typography and design. I called it A Very Subjective And Casual Comics Overview from Greenpoint, Brooklyn, because that's what it is.
Furthermore, there is a nice feature about me over on the Holy Yost, because I'm contributing to Digestae, a food-themed anthologywith many great contributors including Jeffrey Brown and James Kochalka. Many thanks for the shout-out!
If you like to support the project, there is a Kickstarter campaign with great rewards.
And finally, here is an interview from MoCCA in which you can see me at the festival live and alive.
As always, thanks for swinging by!

The awesome children's book blog Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast did a very nice feature about me and my work. You can see images from my next forthcoming children's book THE WOODS and many other things. Check it out here! It's great blog that's always worth checking out. Many thanks to Jules for all the hard work and for having me on it.
In other news, Elizabeth Bird also featured THE WOODS, along with other books from the Chronicle Spring program, on her very popular Fuse#8 Blog. Thanks for the shoutout!

Article in "Pforzheimer Zeitung"

For all of you who speak the German lingo, this came out today in the Pforzheimer Zeitung. That's the city where I studied Graphic Design and Fine Arts for 4 1/2 years. In the interview, they asked me what I thought about the University and my time in Pforzheim, but also about my current projects and the life as an illustrator in New York. Thanks very much to Daniela Huber for the great article!
