Cohen's Fashion Optical - 2 Good To Be True!

Here's a visual from a commercial for Cohen's Fashion Optical, which I also storyboarded, in cooperation with Greencard Pictures– it's called 2 Good To Be True. Using some reference from the early Cohen's stores in Manhattan, I recreated this old-timey illustration of a vintage store front.

Many thanks for producer Kaitlin Del Campo and director Bryan Reisberg and all the other folks at Greencard Pictures and Cohen's!

Carbon Emissions

You can see my latest illustration for the Boston Phoenix here. Originally, the subject was Carbon Allowances and the ways they are being purchased, traded, or even given away for free. Carbon Allowances give companies the right to pollute (to a certain extent).

In this week's paper, my illustration has been used in a more broad environmental context.

Architectural Lighting Magazine

vI had a lot of fun with this illustration for Architectural Lighting magazine. New guidelines in the field of architectural lighting are both challenge and opportunity. The desired goals are sustainability, incorporating natural lighting and limiting waste. These goals need to be addressed not as afterthoughts and add-ons, but right from the beginning and at the very core of the building project. Thanks to AD Aubrey Altman.

A poor environmental record

I did some illustrations for a feature in the current Boston Phoenix, that criticizes G. W. Bush's environmental record and hopes for a big improvement under Barack Obama.
Here you can see my images in their context about National Parks, air pollution near schools, Superweeds, and transmission lines.
