I had the pleasure to illustrate an Op-Ed by the great Paul Auster for today's New York Times. It's about the student protests at Columbia University in 1968. Today, on the anniversary of the sit-in, Auster tells it from his own perspective since he himself was part of it. You can check it out here.

Sketch from a personal series about travelling, space and destinations.
While surfing the interweb I recently came across concepts for enormous cruise ships on which you can buy luxury condos and appartments for permanent residence. This was a fascinating concept to me, and lead to this little drawing.

Here's a look at the production process of Germany's great comic-anthology Panik Elektro. Art-Director and underground comix legend Wittek is giving us a glimpse at his creative process as he's putting the book together and creating the cover and back-cover. Can you spot my vignette on the back cover?

I've just received good news from two great competitions regarding the piece "Destinations", which I did for the Finest | Magma Brand Communication Group's METAGENDA.
It was selected by the jury for American Illustration here in New York City and will be apperearing in American Illustration 27, one of the finest publications in the industry.
And it was also selected for the Communication Arts 2008 Illustration Annual on the West Coast, another major publication that collects some of the best work from the entire year.

I've just received my first copy of Metal Man, a picture book by Aaron Reynolds that I illustrated throughout 2007. The book turned out great, the people at Charlesbridge worked hard to make it a wonderful result. It's beautifully written and highly recommended–not just for children! It comes out July 1st and you can pre-order your copy here.
I'll be signing copies of Metal Man at the MoCCA Art Festival, June 7th-8th, 2008, Puck Building, NYC
