My friends at Rabid Rabbit are putting together a big release party for the 9th issue. And since it is a Horror Issue, what else would be better than a pre-Halloween party. Please visit the Rabid website for more infos. Hope to see you there!

and did a few drawings in my sketchbook.

New York Times Sunday Styles Cover

I did a large piece for today's NYT Sunday Styles Cover. Art Director Peter Morance asked me to do a sequential story about the effects of the economic crisis on teenagers. Here's what I came up with – it was a great assignment!

The Stranger Cover

My Wall Street Illustration ended up on the cover

I did this image for the cover of last Saturday's NYT Business Day Cover. Many thanks to Minh Uong.

Midwest Book Review

A very nice review of my picture book METAL MAN:

"Metal Man is a children's picturebook told from the point of view of an African-American boy during the heat of summertime. The young boy befriends a welder to turns junk into the most amazing things! The vibrant drawings of award-winning artist Paul Hoppe practically burst off the page in this unabashed celebration of the joys of summer, family, and creating artworks through metal welding."

New York Times Book Review

A new illustration for the great Nicholas Blechman over at the NYT Book Review. A cure for Night is a book about a young lawyer who makes some mistakes and loses his high-paying job at a law firm in Manhattan. He has to start from scratch, in "a place where everybody gets a second chance": in Brooklyn. You can read the entire review here.
